The Public Health Team at Swindon Borough Council is seeking to recruit a Public Health Specialist to lead on our work in improving health outcomes and tackling inequalities linked to health for school-aged children and young people. A key part of the role will be reviewing our Healthy Schools Programme, to agree a sustainable model in supporting settings to be health-promoting environments.

Experience of working in or with schools or on a relevant childrens agenda is highly desirable. You must bring enthusiasm to support change and a strong background in project or programme management as well as an ability to work across organisational boundaries and build strong relationships with a broad range of stakeholders. We are looking for a strategic thinker, who can identify pragmatic levers for change to enable and encourage good health for all children and young people in Swindon.
