Job responsibilities
Are you an experienced Team Manager looking for your next challenge or a skilled MASH Senior Social Worker/Practitioner looking for the next step in your career? If so we have a great opportunity for you. The Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) are looking for a dynamic individual to work alongside 2 other team managers.
The role is based at the Police Headquarters, Hinchingbrooke and is co-located with our partner agencies: Health, Police, Adult MASH, Early Help and Education as well as a number of virtual partners. MASH works closely with the Customer Service Centre who receive all referrals and create these on the Liquid Logic system for the MASH.
You will be joining a highly effective and supportive team that is made up of both social care qualified and alternatively qualified staff. This post is hybrid with days in the office and days working from home.

In this role, you will review all incoming contacts, allocate work, sign off outcomes, monitor performance, and handle staffing issues, while taking responsibility for the training and development of the team.
You will oversee multi-agency enquiries, using verbal and written communication skills to engage with MASH workers and partner agencies, applying thresholds for intervention and analysing risk levels daily.
There is line management of one Senior Practitioner and three Social Workers, alongside responsibility for the CAIOs within your team, who are managed by your Senior Practitioner.
Additionally, you will support partnership efforts by leading specific areas of MASH work, chair daily MASH meetings, liaise daily with internal social care and early help teams, and represent the MASH at weekly MARAC meetings.
About youYou will be able to demonstrate that you can think creatively in delivering targeted support and intervention and have a significant level of knowledge and experience in children's social care. You will be able to demonstrate your ability and understanding of threshold application within a timely manner, to ensure children, young people and families receive the right service at the right time.
You will have strong leadership skills with experience in managing a team.
You will be able to engage well with agency partners and help drive effective working relationship.
