Job summary

Main duties of the job

You will report to the Registered Manager to ensure the service meets the CQC requirements. You will ensure that information within the Service is accurate and up to date and reviewed to meet requirements. This may include care plans, medication management and recording, health action plans, hospital passports, risk assessments, safeguarding, and accident and incident reports.  You will also undertake audits and quality assurance checks.</p>

Cambridge Accommodation Services is based in central Cambridge and supports tenants

with learning disabilities in a respite, residential and supported living setting.

The role of Senior Support Worker is to lead a staff team of Support Workers to support

and empower adults with a learning disability to enhance the quality of their life,

maximise their potential and to continue to promote and develop independence skills within

their home, the community, or within a supported unit or whilst accessing respite.

What will you be doing?

You will report to the Registered Manager to ensure the service meets the CQCrequirements.You will ensure that information within the Service is accurate and up to date andreviewed to meet requirements. This may include care plans, medication management and recording, health action plans,hospital passports, risk assessments, safeguarding, and accident and incident reports. You will also undertake audits andquality assurance checks.

Our Senior Support Workers take responsibility for more complex health needs and liaise with health professionals, attend meetings and appointments with professionals when required. It is expected that you will be able to work within Mental Capacity legislation andDeprivation of Liberty Safeguards and have the ability to apply legislation within your area of responsibility.

Managing staff resources to ensure the service has adequate staff cover to agreed levelswill also be required.

This post is for 30 hours per week, requires you to work various shifts(between 07:00 22:00) and to work every other weekend and sleep-insas well as selected Bank Holidays as part of arota for which additional enhancements are paid.

The starting pay for the posts is £13.69 per hour (£20.53 Saturday hours- £23.96 Sundayhours).

You will be completing a comprehensive training program and benefit from excellentcareer development opportunities as well as being part of a supportive team committedto delivering an excellent service for adults with disabilities.

About you

You will need to have a proficient level of written and spoken English for the purposes of

case recording and will hold a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or related

subject.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will need to have excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills as well as having proficient IT skills.
