This is an exciting opportunity to be the Health Protection Specialist in the Public Health Team at Cambridgeshire County Council.

The Public Health Team at Cambridgeshire County Council is looking to appoint a Health Protection Specialist who will have a lead role in delivering the local authority Health Protection responsibilities.

What will you be doing?

The post has a leadership role along with some operational responsibilities. It will provide the post holder with the opportunity to provide system leadership, coordination, and assurance across a range of organisations to ensure local systems are in place to respond to an outbreak or an emergency and take steps to ensure that risks are mitigated and managed. This is alongside supporting the local response to any health protection incidents, outbreaks, and emergencies.

About you

If you have a background in health protection or public health, you may be the right person to join us. You will need to be resilient and motivated, working with colleagues across the Council and will be able to build good relationships across many different sectors.
