Job responsibilities
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time, DoLS coordinator in the Cambridgeshire Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) Team.
The DoLS team have an important role in upholding the human rights of residents in care homes and hospitals across Cambridgeshire. As a DoLS coordinator, your role is unique as it combines business support with specialist DoLS legislative knowledge.
As a DoLS coordinator, you will be working with a dedicated and skilled team of Best Interest Assessors, DoLS coordinators, as well as the MCA DoLS manager.

What will you be doing?You will be assisting the supervisory body to fulfil itsstatutory roles.
The role is interesting and diverse and includes (but is not limited to):- Contribution to the running of the team and its services, effective communication with the DoLS team and a range of stakeholders, including members of the public, management of IT systems and gathering and analysis of data to support service improvement.
You will report to the DoLS Team manager.
The role is largely home based with at least one day per week, working from the office base.
About youAs a DoLS coordinator you will need to be a skilled communicator with experience of providing excellent customer service to professionals and members of thepublic.
You will be able to work effectively as part of a team and be able to work independently, using your own initiative.
You must be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service and be able to work in a fast paced environment.
You must be experienced in working in business support roles and be IT literate.
