Main duties of the job

Barnsley Council are seeking to recruit a Public Health Support Worker to play a key role in our award winning Hows Thi Ticker service. As a Public Health Support Worker, you will be providing vital support and community outreach to Barnsley residents, providing health checks and health and wellbeing advice in a range of settings. The service is crucial in preventing ill health, breaking down barriers to healthcare and reducing health inequalities.

A Level 3 qualification or substantial experience in health-related community work .

You must also be able to undertake any travel in connection with the post.
