Main duties of the job
You will lead and develop Perinatal and Infant Mental Health services across North East Lincolnshire.
Work collaboratively to ensure the creation of joint multi-disciplinary pathways, policies and procedures to address the mental health needs of women, infants in the perinatal period and their families.
As the Specialist Health Visitor in Perinatal and Infant Mental Health you will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the strategic perinatal and parent-infant relationship strand of the Family Hub and Start for Life programme. You will work with Midwifery, Health Visitors, Family Hubs, 0-19 teams, Mental Health services and colleagues in the community, to achieve the minimum and go further expectations for these services within the required time frames as outlined by the HM Government Family Hubs and Start for Life programme guide 2023.

Essential
- Specialist Community Public Health Nurse Registered Nurse with NMC registration.
- Diploma in relevant specialist area such as Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Masters Module, or equivalent experience.
- Masters degree or relevant equivalent experience.
- iHV Champions Training in Infant Mental Health and in Perinatal Mental Health.
Experience
Essential
- Working in specialist area.
- Staff management or project management.
- Training development and delivery.
- Working in partnership with other agencies.
- Managing change in clinical practice.
- Working with a range of individuals and groups.
Desirable
- Experience of running post-natal depression groups
Knowledge
Essential
- Specialist knowledge and experience in maternal and infant mental health, developed through practice and training.
- Good knowledge base of current legislation and national plans which impact on Perinatal /Infant Mental health.
- Knowledge of the Public Health Agenda
- Excellent knowledge of the Health Child Programme and high impact areas.
- Aware of the external environment on the needs and health of individuals.
- Proven Leadership skills.
- Literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability prioritise and effectively manage workload.
Desirable
- Critical evaluation skills. Being able to think analytically and conceptually to identify where services can be improved.
- Demonstrates an ability to draw information from a range of sources in order to contribute to service development
