Job summary

Childrens Public Health Nursing Services aims to ensure that all children, young people and families in North East Lincolnshire receive the full service offer (The Healthy Child Programme 0-19), including universal access and early identification of additional and/or complex needs, with timely access to specialist services, to secure local services that enable Health Visiting and School Nursing teams in partnership to contribute to improve our outcomes and reduce health inequalities for children, young people and families.. Increasing breastfeeding rates is not only a key public health priority for North East Lincolnshire, but also the Family Hub & Start for Life Programme.

Main duties of the job

You will be joining a service that has a well-established Infant Feeding Team as well as a passionate and dedicated Health Visiting Team. We are proud to have achieved Unicef BFI Stage 3 accreditation in 2022.

As an Infant Feeding Coordinator you will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the strategic Infant feeding strand of the Family Hub and Start for Life programme. You will work with Midwifery, Health Visitors, Family Hubs, 0-19 teams and colleagues in the community, to achieve the minimum and the go further expectations for these services within the required time frames as outlined by the HM Government Family Hubs and Start for Life programme guide 2023.

  • Registered Midwife
  • Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visiting).

Experience

  • Recent experience practising as a Midwife or Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor).
  • Experience of complex feeding issues.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Multi-agency working.

Desirable

  • Leading a skill mix team.
  • Clinical supervision.
