inequalities in West Sussex. The Departments key role is to protect and
improve lifelong health and wellbeing of everyone in West Sussex, by
commissioning evidence-based services and empowering people to make healthier
choices."
The Health Protection Team lead and deliver the
following key areas:
- Infection
diseases
- Non-infectious
environmental hazards to health
- Emergency preparedness, resilience
and response
- Working with stakeholders to
improve immunisation and cancer screening programmes.
Main duties of the job
Salary:£43,516 - £46,549 per annum
Working Pattern:Full time, 37 hours per week flexible working

As our Advanced Public Health
Practitioner, you will support infection prevention and control workstreams and
the wider health protection agenda. The Health Protection Team are at the
forefront of key strategies and programmes that impact on the health and
wellbeing of the population whilst contributing to the planning and
implementation of health improvement initiatives that impact on health and
wellbeing.
You will play a key role in forging partnerships with and
influencing all key stakeholders with a focus on your portfolio areas of
responsibility. You will be responsible for oversight of implementation and
steering delivery to support key elements of the Councils public health vision
and strategic plan.
Support public health Leads to develop, and hold the overview of implementation, monitoring and quality of key public health programmes.
You will work with partners to ensure the programmes are aligned with the broader context, and are visible as well as tailored to reduce health inequalities and improve health and wellbeing.

least 3 years post registration experience.
Experience
of working within a Public Health, Healthcare or other relevant setting.

of working and leading programmes within a multi-agency environment and

Demonstrable experience of delivering or co-ordinating a quality customer
focused service to others.
