Property & Support Services Preventing Homelessness in Wiltshire
We have a new opportunity for a Business Information Analyst and System Support Officer within our Property and Support Service. The role will focus on performance reporting, data analysis, and system support following the introduction of the new Renters Rights Act.
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting time to join us, as you will be working closely with the senior management team and our private rented sector enforcement officer to help ensure the Council is fully prepared for its new responsibilities from 1 May 2026.
In this role, you will be responsible for understanding what data requires capturing, in light of the Councils new duties, and explore ways to effectively store and monitor all enforcement related activity in accordance with the Renters Rights Act.
You will take on the role of a systems administrator in relation to processes and security activities in our systems. You will provide training and advice in the operation of the system and develop analysis tools to generate performance and finance reports across the service. You will support the service in submitting statutory government returns, as well as playing an integral role in identifying service risks based on data analysis.
We are looking for a candidate with the ability to present complex information in an easy-to-understand manner, the ability to analyse and a good eye for detail. We will look for you to have at least 5 years of experience in data analysis, and knowledge of database architecture with proficiency in using Microsoft SQL server and associated reporting applications such as Visual Studio, MS Access, and MS Excel.
If you are confident, motivated, and self-assured, we would like to hear from you.
