Salary:£12.38 - £12.80 per hour (Plus 10% unsocial hours for qualifying shifts)

Day service

At TheMedley we provide care to customers throughout the year. As a Care Support Worker, you will perform your duties in a person-centred manner, promoting well-being, choices, dignity, and independence. You will support customers with personal care needs, social daily living skills and leisure or work activities.

The Day Service collaborates with customers toidentify and achieve outcomes, supporting individuals in a variety of activities within the service or local community, 5 days a week.

Short Break service

At Bradbury Manor we provide short breaks away from the family home supporting customers, enabling them to take part in meaningful community focused activities or activities.We work with families, paid and unpaidcarers to ensure that they are also involved and listened to, we will support the customer in the mostappropriate way to enable them tomaximise their independence.

We willprovide regular training opportunities to support you in this role and you will be supported to undertake a 26-week probationary period with regular meetings throughout this period tomonitor progress.

As a casual worker, you'll have no fixed hours and will work on an as-needed basis, depending on Wiltshire Council's requirements and your availability. You are not obligated to be available, and the Council is not obliged to offer you work.

Person Specification

Experience

Essential

• Previous experience of building good working relationships and teamworking

Desirable

• Experience of supporting people on a one to one basis
• Knowledge of the principles of Food Hygiene
• Knowledge of the Person-centred approach

Qualifications

Essential

• General Education to GCSE A*-C or equivalent skills and experience

Desirable

• L2 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Adults) or equivalent
