Job summary
The team, work with children, young people, their families, and other organisations to offer a quality professional service to children and young people with physical disabilities, complex health needs and challenging behaviours.
The aim is to help children and young people to remain at home cared for by their families and enable them to be as independent as possible. This involves assessment, giving advice, support and the recommendation or provision of appropriate and necessary equipment or adaptations.
The successful candidate must possess the following skills:
Have a professional qualification in Occupational Therapy and be HCPC registered.
Have significant experience within the area of paediatric occupational therapy.
Have a knowledge and practical understanding of relevant legislation including the Care Act and Housing legislation.
Be open to new ideas and be able to encourage others to adapt to and embrace change.
