Job summary
The Public and Forensic Science Centre is a facility operated by Bradford Council on behalf of HM Coroner (for the local authority areas of Bradford, Kirklees and Calderdale). It provides state of the art mortuary and forensic post mortem facilities.
The Councils Imaging Autopsy Centre is able to undertake minimally invasive digital autopsies to seek to determine cause of death. It is the first such local authority facility in the country and we are proud of pioneering this innovation. You will be required to assist in all aspects of minimally invasive digital autopsy procedures at the direction of the radiographer.
The Centre works in close partnership with the local community to ensure that the needs of all communities are met.
We are looking for technically proficient, compassionate and flexible technologists who consistently work to high standards.
Applicants must be willing to participate fully and flexibly in the technology on-call service outside core operational hours, including at weekends and on bank holidays. A driving licence is required.
Applicants should possess a Certificate in Anatomical Pathology Technology or Level 3 Health Care Science (Anatomical Pathology Technology) or to be considered to paid at Senior APT (S02) Diploma in Anatomical Pathology Technology or Level 4 Diploma in Healthcare Science (Anatomical Pathology Technology).
You will be based at the Public and Forensic Science Centre at Burnham Avenue, Bradford.
