Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new Programme Lead post in Public Health Bromley. Our Public Health Department has expanded in the last couple of years, and we are ambitious for further development of Public Health Programmes, including a tobacco control programme and a commissioned Stop Smoking Service. The department is made up of dedicated individuals and there is an excellent team spirit that reaches beyond the department; we are proud to champion true partnership working relationships with Provider Services. There are several Programme Leads working across the department and career progression and developing further Public Health knowledge and skills are actively encouraged and supported.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will have the opportunity to shape and commission Public Health programmes alongside a supportive Tobacco, Alcohol and Drugs (TAD) team. We are specifically seeking someone with Public Health commissioning experience and knowledge. The post offers an excellent opportunity for a candidate who is experienced in working in collaboration with stakeholders to design programmes that are evidence informed and innovative. Close working relationships with key stakeholders across all partner organisations is key to facilitating effective cross boundary working across Bromley, Southeast London, London region and nationally.

Over the next twelve months Bromley Council staff will re-locate to a newly refurbished modern office building that is very close to Bromley South Station with excellent transport links to central London (18 minutes direct to London Victoria station), Kent and the Southeast. A blend of office and home working will be available.

Salary range is £46,354 - £49,742 pa

Plus 3% from 1 April 2024

Monday Friday, full time, 36 hours per week
