We have an exciting opportunity for a Public Health Service Lead to join us!

The RBWM is looking for an experienced Public Health Service Lead to work within their multidisciplinary team to provide strategic leadership and vision for the Health in All Policies portfolio and Health Improvement programmes. This is an opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead the strategic direction of the designated portfolio areas, reporting into the Deputy Director of Public Health. This is a full-time, permanent role with hybrid working, and a salary of £51,744 - £56,588.

Main duties of the job

  • As a member of the Public Health senior management team, you will provide strategic leadership and vision for the adaptation of a health in all policies approach across the council to influence the wider determinants of health through settings, communities and place.
  • You will develop, coordinate and partner with internal and external colleagues to commission, deliver and manage health improvement programmes, services and budget, using public health intelligence including the JSNA to prioritise and deliver agreed shared outcomes. You will support the Director and Deputy Director of Public Health with the day-to-day operations of the Public Health team including deputising and coordinating public health advice and support to other Council departments and external partners and demonstrate flexibility in the delivery of the portfolio.
