We have an exciting opportunity for an Early Years Public Health Lead to join us and work across Frimley!

This is an exciting opportunity to improve the health and wellbeing of young children across Frimley ICS. You will be hosted in a local authority and use your expert knowledge and skills to work with multiple partners to oversee the implementation of projects across a wide geography. It is truly a unique chance to maximise opportunities to give young children the best start in life!

This is a full-time, 23 month fixed term role with hybrid working, and a salary of £43,063- £47,035 per annum.

Main duties of the job

This role involves both face to face and virtual interaction with a wide range of stakeholders, many of whom are in senior roles within a range of organisations. The post holder will need to demonstrate experience in partnership working and excellent skills in managing such arrangements, demonstrated through evidence of how they have influenced these to progress outcomes / delivery in the NHS / local government context.

The job impacts on the health of children in their early years and longer term impact of the outlined project interventions, covering the geography of Frimley ICS. It interfaces with responsibilities held by the three local authorities in Berkshire East (Bracknell Forest, Slough and Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead) and Frimley NHS partners. The postholder will be expected to interface with public health leads in Hampshire and Surrey to maximise impact. The degree of impact in the early years, maternal and neonatal health agenda has been identified as an area requiring continued support by this post to ensure in particular that opportunities to improve health equity and prevent ill health are met and will therefore service the health at this critical time in life, for those most in need of accessing.
