Job summary
Are you a Registered General Nurse with a degree or diploma in Occupational Health? Are you looking for part time remote working hours with interesting casework which really adds value to its workforce? If so, then you may be what we are looking for! The ideal candidate will be Occupational Health qualified (Degree or Diploma), and a registered General Nurse possessing excellent communication skills.
You will be customer, performance and solution focused and able to evidence commercial awareness. In particular, a strong knowledge and experience of how the practicality and effectiveness of Occupational Health advice impacts in realising outcomes.

Main duties of the job As our Occupational Health Adviser, you will produce written bespoke occupational health reports for managers. Providing effective advice on employment related health matters, including suitability for employment, fitness to work and rehabilitation to the required professional standards in compliance with legislation and local NYC policies.
The occupational health department provide OH services to the council and external partners. This provides our OHAs with a varied caseload that is both interesting and challenging. We recognise the requirement for personal and professional development and provide time for relevant CPD and clinical supervision.
Main duties of the job
This is a rewarding opportunity in which you will have the opportunity to develop both knowledge and skills delivering services internally and to our external partners. About us We are a small, high performing specialist practitioner team. Our workloads are manageable with OHAs dealing with no more than 5 cases per day.
Our department responsibilities include overseeing the delivery of occupational health services, health promotion activity and health surveillance programmes to managers and staff across North Yorkshire Council, plus Schools & Academies and external contracts.

Working pattern Part-time, Home or remote working*, Flexible working. *There will be a requirement for on-site working for an initial 2-week induction period and once or twice per month for face-to-face meetings and clinical supervision.
