The starting salary is £39,571 (Level One) rising to £41,591 (Level Two) on the first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period (pro rata for part time workers).

We have an exciting opportunity for talented individuals to join our growing public health team. We are looking for four Public Health Managers, who will be based within our Inclusion Health team.
What is Inclusion Health?
Led by a Helen, a Consultant in Public Health, the Inclusion Health team work on a wide range of public health agendas including: alcohol and drug use, mental health, suicide prevention, severe multiple disadvantage, homelessness, asylum seeker and refugee health, gambling, domestic abuse, violence reduction and financial wellbeing. It is a busy but important and rewarding area!
Alongside Helen the team includes; a Public Health Principal, Senior Public Health Manager, Public Health Managers and Public Health Commissioners, as well as colleagues working specifically on Severe Multiple Disadvantage as part of our Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy and Changing Futures Programme. The team also benefits from colleagues with expertise in involving those with lived experience of the issues being tackled.
Main duties of the job
Each Public Health Manager will have the same roles and responsibilities as laid out in the Job Description but with a different area of focus:
1) Mental health and suicide prevention 1fte Permanent
2) Vulnerable populations 1fte Fixed Term (31 March 2025)
3) Alcohol and Drug Use 1fte Fixed Term (31 March 2025)
4) Workplace mental wellbeing 1fte - Fixed Term (31 March 2026)

You will work alongside your colleagues in the Inclusion Health team, as well as across the wider public health team and beyond, to make a real and tangible difference to the lives of those in Nottingham who are most vulnerable. You will use a variety of methods to assess and understand their needs, influence and implement strategies, re-design services and pathways, evaluate our progress and much more!
There will be plenty of personal development opportunities, including the possibility of postgraduate study with the University of Nottingham.
Interviews will take place during the week commencing Monday 28th November in person.
