Job summary

Public Health Nutritionist

Salary £25,932 (Grade 9)

As a Public Health Nutritionist, daily activities will involve delivering and developing community-based programmes in a variety of settings to promote positive changes to diet and lifestyle for the residents of Leicestershire. This post will have a specific focus on Men's programmes with low level Mental Health and adults with learning disabilities delivered within the service.

The post holder will work closely with key partners and health professionals to deliver interventions and continuously develop resources provided. Multiple communication methods will be utilised including face-face, telephone and app support. The post holder will use evidence-based advice to support individuals and groups whilst having access to the wider team of Nutritionists and Senior Nutritionists for practice supervision and support. This is a great opportunity for someone to work within the public health team to provide a variety of healthy lifestyle and weight management programmes to improve the health of residents in Leicestershire.

Main duties of the job

MINIMAL ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

- To have access to car and full UK driving license

- Post holder must be eligible to work and stay in the UK

- To have 3 or 4 year undergraduate degree or a two year postgraduate degree in nutrition and dietetics or BSc degree in human nutrition or public health nutrition or similar subject area.
