Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is looking for a dynamic professional to work within its Oral Health Improvement Team. This is a key role within the service, as a member of the team, you will work to improve the oral health of residents in care homes across Leicestershire County and Rutland. Delivering and promoting a high standard of oral health improvement training in line with local and national oral health strategies including Making Every Contact Count training.

Main duties of the job

The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail along with strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work independently using their own initiative.

Job responsibilities

This is a part-time, fixed term post for 18 months, working 4.5 days per week. Based either at home or at County Hall, as a hybrid worker youll be required to travel regularly to visit care homes to deliver training on oral care and work with them to put oral health policies in place.

A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.

  • Dental Nursing Qualification, Oral Health Education Certificate.

Experience

  • Experience of delivering training to a wide range of professionals.
  • Experience in carrying out oral health/health improvement activities.
  • Experience of partnership working and good communication with internal and external colleagues.
  • Working knowledge of oral health promotion activities and implementation.
  • Excellent IT and Strong organisational skills.
  • Experience of monitoring and evaluating projects.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
