Job summary

Northumberland County Council Adults Safeguarding Team have an exciting job opportunity for a qualified Social Worker to work within the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH).

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed social worker who is resilient and confident to deliver an excellent service within Northumberland.The team consists of Social Workers, Safeguarding Managers and Team Managers who work closely with our partner agencies to ensure the safeguarding of Adults at Risk in Northumberland working closely with Northumbria Police, Childrens Services, Health, CNTW anda number ofother partner agencies.

You will be based at County Hall, Morpeth integrated with our partner agencies, however the opportunity for hybrid working is available.The role is a permanent,full time (37 hours per week), NCC Band 8 salary £38,626 -£42,708.

Main duties of the job

The role of the job:- To carry out triage of new safeguarding referrals within a24 hourtimescale

- To assess andanalyzerisk and strengths along with implementing safetyplanning

- Liaise with clients via telephone and on occasion, conduct a homevisit

- Liaise with partner agencies to ensure the safeguarding of an adult atrisk

- Access support via the safeguarding managers/Team Manager where appropriate

- Complete brief assessments of workcompleted

- Conduct unannounced visits to organizationswhere safeguarding concerns have beenraisedIdentifyimmediate risk of harm and raise this with your linemanager

- Meet tight timescales within Triage and MASHSupport with organizationalsafeguarding

- Record data on NCC systems

The requirements of the job:- Social Work Degree

- Social Work Registration with Social Work Englandand successfully completed ASYE programme.

- Valid UK driving licence
