Care Worker (Adult Social Care) - Tynedale Centre, Hexham

Tynedale centre, Hexham supports adults with complex needs and aims to facilitate a variety of educational, social, therapeutic and employment opportunities to broaden life experiences and allow service users to exercise their right to self-determination and choice.

As a care worker you will help our service users enjoy a variety of engaging and enjoyable activities including:

  • Swimming

  • Horse-Riding

  • Bowling

  • Music therapy

  • Gardening

  • Sensory walks

Your support will enable them to participate fully and have fun!

The centre is open Monday - Friday 9am - 4pm.

This role is:

  • Permanent
  • 35 hours (Monday - Friday, 9am - 4pm)
  • NCC Band 4 salary £22,980 - £24,574 (£12.59 per hour)

Main duties of the job

Role of the job:

  • To support service users with their physical, personal and emotional care, to enable and promote independence so they can reach their full potential.

  • Preparation and serving of meals /drinks

  • Administer medication (appropriate training given)

  • Support service users in accessing the community and arranging fun activities for them to engage with

  • Communicating with service users and colleagues report writing and sharing of information

  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure individual care plans are achieved/reviewed

  • Attend training, take part in appraisals, supervisions and team meetings.
