Paediatric Occupational Therapist

Job summary

We are recruiting a full-time Paediatric Occupational Therapist in the Disabled Children and Therapy Service offering a unique opportunity to work with children and young people with a range of complex needs, delivering high-quality, family-centred care and promoting independence and inclusion.

Main duties of the job

As a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, you will:

  • Provide specialist assessments and interventions for children with physical, behavioural, and developmental challenges.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary meetings.
  • You will make recommendations for and provide equipment and adaptations to enhance independence and safety. You will carry this out in children's own homes and schools.
  • Offer guidance and training to families, carers, and educational staff.
  • Support the supervision and development of other staff and students.
