Job summary

This is a great opportunity for you to join us as a Therapy Lead for the Independence and Wellbeing Service (IWS).

The team is presently made up of:

  • Practice lead
  • Occupational Therapists
  • Moving + handling lead
  • Apprentice and Trainee Occupational Therapists
  • Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Vison Rehabilitation Specialist (VCR)
  • Registered Officers Hearing Impairment (ROHI)

Main duties of the job

Were embracing a strengths-based approach and working within a community-led support model that builds on the assets and strengths of both people, families, and their local communities. Together, well focus on prevention, enablement, reablement and safety, to promote wellbeing and independence. Well ensure that residents, families and communities have the right support in place, and at the right time.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree level qualification in relevant Health or Social Care field
  • and associated professional body registration.
  • (examples include Social Work England Registration or Health and Care Professions Council Registration) for the purposes of professional registration within the UK.

Experience

Essential

  • A sound understanding of national policy, legislation and guidance in Adult Social Care, which includes an understanding of Intermediate Care and Short Term Interventions, mental capacity assessments and deprivation of liberty best interest decisions.
