Job summary

We are seeking an experienced practitioner in health improvement to join our Public Health team to provide expertise and leadership across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly councils, to our partners and the public in all health improvement areas but focusing specifically on Healthy weight, healthy aging (including falls prevention) and increasing physical activity levels across our population.

Main duties of the job

The Wellbeing and Public Health Service has a mandate to protect and improve the population's health across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We work in partnership with services across Cornwall Council, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly Integrated Care System, the Office for Health Disparities, Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust, Cornwall Foundation Partnership Trust, Kernow Health CIC and numerous other organisations.

As an Advanced Public Health Practitioner you would be responsible for supporting the full range of health improvement aspects of our public health function. This will include developing strategies to improve the health of the public, influencing and commissioning and delivery of a range of services to support key health improvement programmes.

This position will be subject to a enhanced criminal record disclosure check.
