Main duties of the job
You would be responsible for practice development/clinical leadership of our health visiting service on behalf of Cornwall Council and the Council of the Isles of Scilly. We cover 6 Localities within the beautiful County of Cornwall, which borders Devon, covering areas such as Bude, Launceston, Liskeard down as far as Helston and Penzance.
Working closely with the Head of Service, Service Managers, Professional Lead for School Nursing, Practice Teachers and Team Managers you will strive to continually improve health outcomes, reduce inequalities, and safeguard children and young people in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly through the provision of an evidenced based and needs led service. You will take a lead role in practice development to ensure the workforce has the knowledge, Skills and expertise to deliver the Healthy Child Programme, CQC requirements, NICE guidance and other key policy drivers. Contribute to the development of partnership working with other statutory and voluntary organisations to improve communication, develop pathways to support better outcomes for children.
You will join our experienced teams in leading and delivering the Healthy Child programme to the children and families within Cornwall.
