Job summary

As part of the continued growth and development of the Reablement Service within Hampshire, we are excited to share the opportunity for you to join us in the position of an Advanced Practitioner Occupational Therapist. This role will be fundamental to support our evolution into an Occupational Therapy principled service.

Main duties of the job

As an Advanced Practitioner (OT), you will be a practice leader who champions excellent Occupational Therapy evidence-based practice within Reablement, Hampshire County Council, external organisations and with other professionals.

You will have the skills, knowledge and experience to provide practice expertise within your own complex caseload and you will guide, advise and supervise / mentor team members, with an expectation to provide support on a countywide basis. Your practice will be characterised by a high degree of autonomy and complex decision making and you will be a key player within both local leadership teams and the countywide consultant team.

Advanced Practitioners in Occupational Therapy will support excellent standards of practice across both the Reablement Service and the wider department. This is encompassed by the four pillars of professional practice, facilitation of learning, leadership and education, research & development. (RCOT 2021).The Reablement Service operates 7 days a week and there will be a requirement to work weekends on a rotational 1:8 basis.
