Hampshire Equipment Service (HES) are looking for a conscientious driver that can help change people’s lives by delivering, installing and collecting equipment to residences across various locations within Hampshire.
Hampshire Equipment Services provide equipment to assist people with disabilities and enable discharge from hospitals throughout Hampshire.
Our main office is based on Lister Road Industrial Estate, Basingstoke but this role covers the delivery and installation of equipment in the New Forest only. You will need to report to our main office on a daily basis to collect/ return equipment.
Main duties of the job
You will be required to drive a Council vehicle and must hold a current full drivers’ licence. A vehicle is provided; therefore, you must have parking facilities at home for a large van.
You’ll need to be highly organised, with good communication skills and confident prioritising a busy workload.
To ensure that medical loan equipment and aids for daily living are delivered /installed as quickly as possible. We help people to remain independent within their own homes, reducing care packages, preventing hospital admission and enabling rapid discharge. Drivers will demonstrate to service users, and their carer’s, the operation of specific items of equipment e.g.; fully profiling hi-lo beds, pressure relief products.
