Job summary
As a skilled, enthusiastic qualified Occupational Therapist your role will be to provide outstanding services for adults in Bassetlaw.
Much of our work involves visiting client's in their own homes engaging them in strengths-based conversations; for this you will need a flexible, compassionate, & inclusive approach.
You will manage a varied caseload which may involve clients with moving and handling needs as well as complex equipment, and major adaptations.

Main duties of the job
Undertake complex occupational therapy assessments where elements of risk management are common and urgent responses may be
required, within a multi-professional environment.
Assess an individual`s functional abilities in relation to the occupational tasks and activities that are meaningful to them, identifying the
potential for their independence in occupational activities and make strengths-based recommendations that prevent or delay the need for social care.
Where appropriate, plan, implement and review Reablement or Enablement programmes that are occupation focused, establishing clear
person-centred goals tailored to individual needs.

We are looking for:
A qualified Occupational Therapist who is HCPC registered.The ability to take a strength-based approach to your work with people in a community setting.With a flexible and compassionate, inclusive manner.For you to provide clinical support for other team members including Occupational Therapists, Community Care officers and Social WorkersFor you to provide advice and support to your Team Manager regarding Occupational Therapy practice.Someone who can manage a varied caseload including moving and handling, complex equipment, and major adaptations.A good working knowledge of Disabled Facilities Grants and specialist equipment would be an advantage.Working in partnership with local community health professionals, housing, district councils and other local services.Support to managers to meet the departments' performance and service delivery requirements, to manage systems effectively and to work positively within a culture of change.
