Service Manager Assessment and Reablement Unit (Registered Manager)
We are recruiting for 3 Service Manager roles to lead our high-quality Community Support Bed services across Derbyshire. These roles are based in Bennerley Fields in Ilkeston, Staveley Centre in Chesterfield, and Thomas Fields in Buxton.
Our Community Support Beds are 24/7 regulated services offering short-term assessment and reablement/rehabilitation to help people regain confidence and maximise independence, with the goal of returning home wherever possible. These services support individuals leaving hospital, requiring urgent community response, or benefiting from reablement in a bedded care setting.
Main duties of the job
As the CQC Registered Manager, you will lead and manage the provision of safe, effective, and high-quality residential assessment and reablement services. You will:
Manage a 24/7 service supporting hospital discharge, admission avoidance, and step-up care.
Lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver goal-focused reablement and recovery.
Ensure safe admissions and timely support planning aligned with transfer to assess principles.
Promote coordinated approaches to planned and unplanned care.
Act as the professional expert for the service, advising stakeholders and managing access.
Drive performance, quality assurance, and financial compliance. Contribute to strategic planning and service transformation.

- Sound knowledge of financial regulations and budget monitoring
- Robust and practical knowledge of reablement processes and legislation
- Excellent project management skills to manage multiple projects across the care provision, ensuring agreed outcomes and value for money
- Ability to persuade others and influence outcomes critical to the business
- In depth knowledge of relevant legislation and its impact on the area of provision
- Ability to identify and manage risk in the defined service area
- Ability to plan for long term service delivery, needs and developments
- In depth understanding of Quality Assurance principles
- Management techniques in a large complex organisation
- The ability to speak fluent English in order to communicate fully in the role with clients and the public
- Ability to analyse data, and apply findings to inform sound business decisions
- Knowledge of local health and care priorities and how they will impact on the role/ facility.
