Main duties of the job

We are seeking a motivated and skilled professional with specialist expertise inepidemiology,advanced statistical methods, andhealth economics. You will collaborate with others to lead and address some of the most pressing health challenges in our communities, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently to deliver the greatest impact on population health.

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a degree with a
  • significant numerical / statistical content
  • Postgraduate qualification relevant to public health (e.g. Masters degree in a public health related subject such as MPH,
  • Stats MSc, Health Economics) or evidence of equivalent qualifications

Desirable

  • Project management qualification such as PRINCE 2

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of developing and writing literature reviews, health
  • needs assessments, health equity audit and health impact assessments.
  • Experience of critical appraisal of public health and health economics evidence.
  • Experience in developing needs assessments in a partnership arena such as the Joint Strategic
  • Needs Assessment Experience of developing and applying modelling techniques (including health economics) to public health and health and
  • social care interventions
  • Experience of influencing policymakers
  • Knowledge and experience of implementing GIS systems and
  • outputs
  • Experience of working with multiple sets of health related data and information systems in health related organisations
  • Experience of system development and query and report writing (SQL Server or equivalent)

  • Experience in using infographics to show highly complex data in an easy to understand format.
