recruiting: Two Team Managers (Prevention and Early Help) Community.

As
a team manager with us you will have overall responsibility for the day to day
running of the service. Together with general line management duties, you will be
required to ensure that our practice is of a highest standard and always works
towards the aspirations of the people we are here to serve. You will be
responsible for ensuring safe systems and processes are always adhered too.
We
are continuously working hard to improve our services and the way we work together
with our partners for the people that reach out to us. Currently, our
front-line teams are embarking upon an innovative service redesign, with
community led approaches to practice and co-production at the heart of all we
do. The team manager position will be pivotal to making this happen in terms
of operational implementation.
There
is no denying, there is a lot of work to do and its not for the faint hearted,

1. Promote and lead a culture of professional responsibility,
accountability, learning and continuous improvement and ensure that the teams
output meets relevant national and local performance targets.
2. Ensuring that safeguarding adults at risk, children and young people is
at the core of practice and supports making safeguarding personal.
3. Support practitioners in communicating and building professional
relationships with adults at risk and their families.
4. Ensure that all team members receive appropriate and regular
professional supervision and appraisal including an appropriate balance between
performance management, wellbeing & support, reflection, and professional
development functions.
5. Lead and support other team members in developing cooperative working
relationships with colleagues within the Council and in other agencies and to
lead and/or engage with multiagency teams including chairing relevant meetings.
6. Ensure that appropriate and timely decisions are made concerning the
management of the team, staff deployment, priorities and allocation of work and
resources.
7. Work with the senior management and commissioners within the service to
develop understanding and intelligence around the area for which the team has
responsibility, to inform strategic planning and intervention. Be responsible
for delivery of Budget management and budget settings for Teams.
8. Maintain an up to date working knowledge of relevant legislation,
regulations, and guidance; participate in learning, training, and development
opportunities relevant to the post; and to support the delivery of training and
development as appropriate.
9. Responsible for own professional development in accordance with
registration requirements in own professional area.
10. Support effective recruitment, selection and retention strategies and be
proactive in managing all employee related matters including staff absence,
performance, conduct, discipline, and grievances, ensuring that these are
managed according to the Councils policies and procedures.
11. Responsible for the health and safety of staff and members of the public
and the safety of operations, buildings, and equipment within the team in
accordance with the Councils health and safety policies and procedures.
12. Manage complaints, working to resolve them at the informal stage
wherever possible.
