Job summary
We have an opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to join our Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team on a 2 year fixed term / secondment basis. This is a great opportunity to experience working in a busy, multi-agency environment that focuses on providing good quality advice to ensure that families receive appropriate support. The Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) brings key professionals together to facilitate quality information sharing, analysis and decision-making, to safeguard vulnerable children, young people more effectively. Staff from across health, social care, police, and education are based in the MASH at any one time at its based in Broadgate House in the city centre. Our MASH is the front door to statutory services, by applying consistent thresholds based on Right Help, Right Time.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for social workers who are committed to achieving the best for our children, young people, and families. We particularly welcome applications from those from under represented backgrounds and all walks of life to give our diverse city the greatest level of support it deserves. You will need to have a recognised professional Social Work qualification (MA/BA/BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work or CQSW) and Social Work England registration with experience in working with looked after children, child protection, court proceedings and completing assessments within timescales.
