At Bath & North East Somerset Council we have one overriding purpose – to improve people’s lives.

This post attracts a welcome payment of 5% of the starting salary for the grade to enable individuals to join our permanent workforce.  This is payable upon successful completion of your probationary period and is subject to eligibility criteria.

Location: Hillview Lodge, RUH, Bath.

We are seeking a qualified AMHP to join our ‘core AMHP’ team in BANES providing high quality MHA assessments and associated tasks/roles as part of a dedicated team. 

The applicant needs to work well in a team and able to work well under pressure, as well as their practice being underpinned by a rights-based approach to AMHP work keeping the individual at the centre of their practice.

Both the team and B&NES Council are committed to providing continued professional development through supervision, opportunities to develop additional skills and gain experience, and various training opportunities. The service is also actively supported by a dedicated Mental Health Principal Social Worker who is employed by the Council.

There is the option to base yourself at home for some of the working week when working for us, although there is a significant amount of direct work with individuals required in various locations. There is a requirement to travel outside of the BANES geographical area on a regular basis.
