Extra Care Service Manager Hawthorn's Court 37 Hrs

Job summary

We are looking for dedicated Service Manager. The post is based at Hawthorn Court, Keynsham. This is a full-time permanent role working 37 hours per week. This post plays a key role in supporting the care teams and Registered manager to continue to deliver care services at a high level.

Hawthorn Court offers a vibrant community atmosphere which is in central Keynsham, and this is easily accessible via public transport or car.

What is Extra Care?

Extra Care Housing is for adults, who have some care needs, with an assured tenancy in a self-contained flat in a purpose-built or adapted scheme. Our Extra care housing services have been rated Good by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in June 2022.

Main duties of the job

Experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities required for role:

Ability to cope with conflicting demands and deadlines.

Hold the minimum of an NVQ/diploma Level 3 in Care.

Previous experience in management or supervisory capacity in a care setting is essential.

Strong influencing and negotiating skills.

Minimum of two years experience of care of older people is essential.

Experience or knowledge of either a reablement service, supported living scheme and domiciliary services is preferable.

Excellent organisational and communication skills.

The ability to be proactive, think creatively and identify development opportunities and continuing ways of improvement.

Strong team player who works in collaborative style.

Support other Extra Care schemes on peripatetic basis to help cover holiday and sickness etc. (pre-arranged).

Understands the importance of the pastoral care of staff.

Be prepared to undertake Level 5 in Management.

Strong ICT skills including Microsoft Office.

Highly numerate, with the proven ability to understand, analyze, interpret, and explain complicated information and data.
