Can you help support Bath & North East Somerset Council to programme manage better outcomes for Adults?

A great opportunity has arisen to work within the Adult Social Care and Health Commissioning Team to appoint a permanent Programmeand Project Manager (BCF) to manage the Better Care Fund Programme and other short term projects. This is an opportunity to join a Team leading the transformation and integration of working across the Adult Social Care Council Directorate and Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire (BSW) Integrated Care Alliance (ICA). You will be responsible for managing the Better Care Fund and a number of key projects creating changes in the system, guiding and leading projects across health and social care provision. You will play a key role in contributing to the development of commissioning strategies, working with key stakeholders and service users to help develop services, with a strong emphasis on data analytics and data management

Main duties of the job

The role will take forward projects across health and social care work including:

  • Home care and care homes
  • Community discharge
  • Workforce and recruitment
  • Housing and homelessness

You will already have a good understanding of services for adults or be able to demonstrate transferable skills working with children and young people. You will need to enjoy working in a busy and fast paced environment with competing projects and deadlines, taking the lead for projects and programmes and working with other team members. You will be able to demonstrate good experience of running significant change projects in health and/or social care including skills in data management. You will be well organised, flexible and analytical. You will have a good understanding of the project cycle and the associated research and analysis to develop service specifications, reports and business cases that can support decision making.
