Job summary

An opportunity has arisen to recruit a talented, enthusiastic, determined and resourceful Drug and Alcohol Practitioner to work within this challenging service to provide services within Spectrum's prison-based Drug & Alcohol recovery-orientated treatment model as part of a forward looking, flexible, innovative, and creative team. To ensure that the service's key elements (assessment, case management, delivery of psychosocial interventions, release planning and throughcare) are integrated and delivered to a high standard.

Main duties of the job

To deliver services that support service users to achieve recovery goals, positive outcomes and community re-integration, maximising engagement and retention. To work effectively and flexibly with colleagues under the direction of the Drug & Alcohol Service Manager (Recovery), Drug & Alcohol Senior Practitioners, and other managers, to ensure that high standards of performance are maintained. To work collaboratively with other services to provide interventions to support and motivate service users and meet their needs through all stages of their individual recovery journey. To work within a strengths-based, recovery-orientated, change and outcomes and trauma informed approach which promotes service users as responsible co-producers of health, well-being and recovery. Adhere to and support HR processes as required under the guidance of HR, the Drug & Alcohol Service Manager (Recovery) and Senior Practitioner.
