Job summary
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Administration Support Officer who is used to working in a fast-paced and multi-tasked environment. The post holder will be responsible for providing a high quality, administrative and clerical service to the multi-disciplinary clinical teams within the Healthcare Department at HMP Hindley. The post involves a range of duties requiring excellent communication skills and a flexible, adaptable, non-judgmental attitude together with an ability to multi-task and work autonomously or as part of a team. The post holder will be based at HMP Hindley but may be required to work flexibly across all sites when required. The post holder will be expected to undertake mandatory training appropriate to their role and adhere to NHS and HMP policies and procedures relevant to the area they work in and demonstrate commitment to the principles of Equality & Diversity.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide comprehensive administration and information services within the Prison Healthcare Department of the Health and Justice Business Unit. They will work as part of the administration team to provide high quality clerical, administrative duties for the Physical Health, and clinical substance misuse services at HMP Hindley. The post holder will provide excellent administration and communication skills and work flexibly in response to the service needs. They will provide day to day support to the physical, mental health and recovery teams, supporting them in the delivery of a Gold Standard level of patient care. The post holder will be responsible for all aspects of administrative support, including co- coordinating healthcare appointments for patients internally and externally, liaising on a daily basis with external providers, and also collating statistical information as directed by the Business Support Manager for the Performance Management Team. The post holder will be line managed and supported on a day-to-day basis by the Administration Manager.
