We are looking to appoint a Medical Director to join both our Executive Team and Board, with accountability for driving forward our vision and values to achieve the best health and wellbeing outcomes for our patients and communities.

Main duties of the job

As a Board member, you will take a shared leadership responsibility for our Integrated Business Plan, focused on growing the business, ensuring excellence in care, employer of choice and growth and new solutions underpinned by data driven insights and leadership capabilities.

Through visible leadership, you will lead our medical workforce and will have responsibility for the delivery of the medical elements of our clinical strategy. Working closely with Directors of Nursing and Operations and the Associate Medical Director, you will ensure care is safe and clinically effective and delivered with compassion.

Experience and Knowledge

  • Extensive experience within a Medical discipline
  • Evidence of significant experience, and understanding of, the work of NHS regulators and inspection regimes.
  • Demonstrable evidence of achievement as a Medical Leader.
  • Abreast of professional developments in keeping with this professional leadership role and maintain networks necessary for the role.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of health service management, project management and change management.
