Job summary

Are you a dedicated RGN looking for a new challenge within a diverse, community setting? The days are varied and there is a wide range of training and development opportunities. You will be part of a wider multi-disciplinary team delivering primary care, mental health, and substance misuse services to our patient

Please note the welcome payment is payable to new candidates joining Spectrum Community Health CIC.

There is also opportunity to access a relocation package of up to £8,000

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work in a unique and diverse environment, often delivering the many of the nurse-led services that are provided in the wider community.

Prison nurses provide holistic care across the whole patient journey. Working in a challenging, multi-faceted environment like a prison, the post holder will deliver holistic and compassionate care to a complex community with varying needs. The role offers versatility as you'll pick up additional skills to develop your knowledge and skills base.

The types of work you will carry out include:

o minor injury and illness

o long term conditions

o end of life/palliative care

o substance misuse

o emergency and unscheduled care

o social care

o health assessment

o mental health support

o in reach and outreach specialist services

o nurse consultation clinics

o clinical governance

o safeguarding

o The admission/ discharge of the patient

o Referrals to the multi-disciplinary teams

o Creating care plans for patients based on clinical assessment

o Administration of medications
