Job summary

The aim of the Wakefield Safe Space is to divert people, who would be better supported elsewhere, away from Accident and Emergency (A&E) and other emergency/crisis services in the Wakefield District. The service will be delivered in partnership between TouchStone, Spectrum People and GASPED.

Main duties of the job

To provide support to individuals who are experiencing crisis and acute distress, including one to one support, support planning and liaison with local services. To provide a culturally sensitive (with due regard to marginalised groups including BAME, LGBTQ+) and accessible service.

About us

Touchstone has been awarded NHS funding from Wakefield CCG to run a Wakefield Safe Space in the early evening and at night supporting anybody in the Wakefield District aged 16years and over who feel they need support with their emotions and mental health.Flexible working is a requirement of this role covering daytime, evenings and some weekends. This is to ensure effective delivery of the offer, partnership work and team support.
