Job summary
This is a great opportunity to build skills in dental care while supporting patients through their treatment journey. You'll work closely with dental nurses, dentists and reception colleagues to help clinics run smoothly and provide a calm, reassuring experience for patients. This development role offers structured training, including the National Examining Board for Dental Nurses (NEBDN) qualification, giving you the foundation to progress into a qualified Dental Nurse role. What you'll do:
- Support patients before, during and after treatment, offering reassurance and clear information
- Assist with decontamination and sterilisation tasks to maintain a safe clinical environment
- Help prepare equipment and surgeries for daily procedures
- Carry out reception duties, including welcoming patients and managing records
- Work with colleagues to keep clinics organised and responsive to patient needs
Main duties of the job
What we're looking for:
- GCSEs in English and Maths (grade C/4 or above)
- Good communication and listening skills, with a warm and patient approach
- Ability to follow procedures, organise tasks and adapt to changing priorities
- Confidence using computers and learning new systems
- Interest in gaining the NEBDN qualification and developing clinical skills
