Job summary
CHCP Paediatric Dentistry Service have an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced clinician with current registration on the GDC Specialist List for Paediatric Dentistry to provide care and advice in a complex clinical, physical, social and intellectual context for the priority and vulnerable groups attending the Community Dental Services, and to contribute to the service's commitment to train the wider dental workforce.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to provide a full range of paediatric dental services to those patients referred to the Community Dental Service requiring the skills of a dentist working to Specialist level.
The post holder will also provide a General Anaesthetic Assessment Service in line with the latest recommendations and guidelines concerning the use of General Anaesthetics for paediatric patients within Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire. The successful applicant will be listed on the GDC Specialist list for Paediatric Dentistry and have good clinical skills with a willingness to develop these further.
This post DOES NOT include the treatment of patients under General Anaesthetic. This service is subcontracted locally using the day surgery facilities at Hull Royal Infirmary on a weekend. The successful applicant will have an ability to understand and implement guidelines, policies, and procedures, both National and Local.
