Are you passionate about behaviour change? We have an exciting role available at Smokefree Knowsley as an advisor to help achieve our commitment to reduce the prevalence of smoking and tackling health inequalities for the people of Knowsley.
We are offering a flexible and varied role, training, working as part of a dynamic team, hybrid working and community-based interventions and prevention.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our team in Knowsley. The successful candidate will deliver stop smoking advice and support to services users in a variety of settings including face to face, telephone and community promotion.

- N.C.S.C.T Stop Smoking Practitioner Qualification
Desirable
- CLAIT, ECDL or equivalent IT qualification
Knowledge

- Knowledge and understanding of healthy lifestyle priorities within the national and local public health policies and strategy - specifically around stopping smoking.
- To possess an awareness of the impact of health/lifestyle changes on existing medical and/or health conditions (and to have knowledge of appropriate service provision that is available to individuals/groups).
- Knowledge of local communities
- Ability to record information in clear accurate English
Desirable
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office/IT Skills
- Knowledge of one or more languages that is used by local people
- Knowledge and experience of developing groups
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements as applied to activities provided for the public (risk assessment for events, community facilities, etc.)
