Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Macmillan Clinical Nurse Specialist developmental post within the Hull and East Riding Community Specialist Palliative Care Team. The successful candidate will be employed in a band 6 development role and will become a band 7 once the essential qualifications for the role are achieved . This community-based post is within a multi-disciplinary team who deliver specialist, high quality care to patient's with advanced, progressive illness and their families' and carers.
Main duties of the job
The role combines clinical leadership, expertise and complex palliative and end of life care management in order to promote palliative and end of life care. As an RN with a minimum of 2 years experience working within a palliative care setting, you must have advanced palliative care clinical experience, knowledge and skills. Applicants must have excellent advanced communication skills and experience of multi-professional team working. They must also have a commitment to the delivery of high quality patient care. You must be qualified to degree level and be willing to undertake Non-medical Prescribing and other specified essential qualifications within a specific timeframe.
