Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 3 Therapy Assistant to join the East Riding Pulmonary Rehabilitation Service.

The team comprises of Clinical Specialist Respiratory Physiotherapists and Therapy Assistants, providing Pulmonary Rehabilitation and respiratory management to patients with chronic lung disease.

The East Riding Pulmonary Rehabilitation Service delivers its programme via either a group- based community programme or a virtual 1:1 programme. The group based programme.is delivered in four venues within the East Riding and the successful candidate will be required to provide therapy assistance to all

programmes therefore ability to commute efficiently across the East Riding area is essential.The service also provides a virtual programme via telephone calls or video link.

The successful candidate will support the Physiotherapist in the planning and implementation of both the community and virtual programmes.

The position is a 1 year fixed contract, hours/number of days available are: 22.5 hours over three days OR 30 hours over four days OR 37.5 hours over 5 days (preference to be stated on interview and confirmed by the successful candidate on job offer/acceptance).

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate should have excellent organisational, communication and listening skills, and the ability to support and motivate others to achieve their potential. Good I.T. skills are also required.
