Main duties of the job
What we are looking for
- A clinical qualification in:
- Clinical/Counselling/Forensic/Occupational/Education Psychology
- Social Work
- Nursing
- Occupational Therapy
- or Speech and Language Therapy
- Relevant registration with HCPC, NMC or SWE, SCW or SSSC
- Formal training in and experience delivering ADOS and ADI-R assessments, ideally online
- Ideally you will have assessed both children and adults
- A high level of written and verbal communication
- Excellent knowledge of NICE guidelines and DSM-5 criteria
What youll do as a Specialist Neurodevelopment Practitioner
- Conduct high-quality autism assessments using gold standard assessment tools such as ADOS and ADI-R
- On average we look for 2 ADOS *or* 1 ADI-R assessment per day
- Deliver assessments for children, young people and adults
- Use your clinical expertise and judgement, providing accurate diagnosis and post diagnostic recommendations
- Collaborate with a highly-skilled MDT
- Produce well written clinical reports. You will have dedicated admin time to ensure you can keep on top of your workload
- Provide meaningful feedback and recommendations for clients
- Contribute to the development of the service
