Job summary
As an ADHD Nurse Assessor at HSMH, you will conduct detailed Adult ADHD assessments using structured tools such as the DIVA-5, collect developmental and functional histories, and support patients throughout their medication titration journey. You will work closely with psychiatrists, GPs, and administrative staff, ensuring patients receive excellent evidence-based, person-centred care.
Main duties of the job
Carry out structured adult ADHD assessments, using validated tools and clinical interviews.
Collect and analyse collateral information from patients, families, and medical records.
Prepare comprehensive clinical assessment reports for review and approval.
Support medication titration under the supervision of the responsible consultant psychiatrist.
Monitor response, tolerability, and side effects in line with NICE guidelines and service protocols.
Communicate with patients via secure video consultations.
Record outcomes and update medical records accurately and promptly.
Liaise with GPs regarding shared care and medication safety monitoring when required.
Participate in team meetings, peer reviews, and clinical governance activities.
Complete risk assessments and review safeguarding needs during ongoing patient care.
Maintain registration with the appropriate governing body NMC/HCPC.

- Experience and training working in an adult ADHD service (NHS or private sector).
- Knowledge of ADHD comorbidities (e.g. anxiety, autism, depression).
- Familiarity with structured assessment tools such as the DIVA-5
- Understanding of ADHD diagnostic criteria and NICE guidance.
- Experience supporting or leading medication titration clinics.
- Strong clinical documentation and written communication skills.
- Comfortable conducting remote video-based assessments.
- Reliable and able to work independently with high levels of clinical responsibility.
- Right to work in the UK and a UK home address.
- Confidence in discussing side effects, safety monitoring, and patient education
Desirable
- Independent/supplementary prescribing qualification (V300).
- Experience using Semble e-health record
