Job summary

Our three Leicester Practices are on a mission to recruit talented, qualified GPs to support us in our mission to deliver a service where patients quickly and easily receive the right care from the right person, at the right time, in the right place!

Main duties of the job

You will work to ensure that quality is at the heart of everything we do within the surgery, adhering to our clinical governance framework and forming part of our clinical team, providing high quality care to our patients.

Job responsibilities

Provide clinical care (including associated administration) via face to face, telephone and digital consultations, this may include home visits.

Prescribe medications, order diagnostic tests, and interpret results to guide patient management.

Manage chronic conditions, acute illnesses, and minor injuries, providing continuity of care for patients.

Offer preventive healthcare services such as vaccinations, health screenings, and health promotion advice.

Collaborate as needed with external stakeholders, to facilitate coordinated care for patients.

  • An experienced doctor with GP accreditation
  • Current registration with GMC and NHS performers list (with no conditions preventing working or restrictions on practice).

Specific Skills and Competencies

Essential

  • Record of on-going CPD and learning.
  • MRCGP examination or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of clinical governance.
  • Will have an understanding of the political agenda and drivers influencing primary care provision.
  • Good organisational and IT skills desirable
  • Will have excellent interpersonal skills and be committed to working as part of a team.
  • Will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Clear commitment to delivering quality and patient focused services.

  • As an experienced and qualified GP, you will be motivated to deliver high quality standardised care. You are an excellent communicator and want to make a difference - making us and you the best we can be.
