You will be responsible for helping the client with daily activities, accessing the community, maintaining a routine, and supporting their overall wellbeing.
Main duties of the job
As a Brain Injury Support Worker, you will be responsible for engaging with the client's personalized routines, assisting with their physiotherapy programme, managing medication, providing emotional support and companionship, monitoring food intake, and maintaining accurate records of the care provided. You will also collaborate with a range of healthcare professionals and family members to ensure the client receives comprehensive and coordinated care. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, as well as the flexibility to work the specified hours, are also essential requirements.

Brain Injury Support Worker - Bridgnorth
Working Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-6pm
Pay: £15 per hour
We have an opportunity for a support worker to work with one of our clients in Bridgnorth, Shropshire.
Due to a brain injury in childhood our client requires general assistance with his day to day needs along with support attending appointments, accessing the community, building routine/encouraging personal care and maintaining his home environment. He has cognitive impairment and poor inertia alongside some very mild behavioural issues relating to acceptance of need for support. Our client has not had support previously so will need someone with good relationship building ability to help him feel safe and comfortable with this but also someone able to be flexible in approach while they build a good understanding of the nuances of his needs.
Due to the nature of the role, a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.
